Knowledgeable, professional, and quick to follow up. Will recommend to others.
I’m so glad I chose them to help with my citizenship application. They were thorough and kept me informed at every step. Anytime I had questions, they responded quickly and professionally. Thanks to their guidance, I now have my citizenship, and the process was much easier than expected. Thank you!
Global RCG provided clear detailed instructions that made the process much easier. They were responsive to my questions. They were able to provide information about my grandmother's birth certificate even though the original building housing the records had been destroyed in a fire. I couldn't have done it without them.
They made the citizenship process easy and straightforward. They were helpful whenever I had questions and guided me through each step. I’d definitely recommend them!
The team was supportive and kept me informed all the time during my process for Italien citizenship, especially Kaila who was very proffesional and helpful.

Questions?
Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about GlobalPassport™.
Can I get Irish citizenship if my great-grandparents were Irish?
Yes, you can claim Irish citizenship if at least one of your great-grandparents was born in Ireland. However, your parent must have registered in the Foreign Births Register before you were born. If they haven't, you'll need to register them first before you can proceed with your own registration.
Can I get Irish citizenship if my grandparents were Irish?
Yes, you can claim Irish citizenship if at least one of your grandparents was born in Ireland. You just need to supply the right documentation to prove your ancestry.
How many generations back can you claim Irish citizenship?
Irish citizenship by descent can be claimed up to great-grandparents (third generation), provided the proper chain of registration in the Foreign Births Register has been maintained. Here's how it works:
• If your parent was born in Ireland: You automatically qualify
• If your grandparent was born in Ireland: You can claim citizenship through Foreign Births Registration
• If your great-grandparent was born in Ireland: You can claim citizenship only if your parent registered on the Foreign Births Register before your birth
How do I claim my Irish citizenship by descent?
The process involves several steps:
1 - Gather required documentation, including your grandparent's Irish birth certificate, your parent's birth certificate, your birth certificate, and any marriage certificates if applicable
2 - Complete the Foreign Births Registration application through the Department of Foreign Affairs (this is the part GlobalPassport looks after for you)
3 - Pay the registration fee (currently €278 for adults)
4 - Submit your application and supporting documents
5 - Wait for processing (current processing times can be several months)
6 - Once approved, you'll receive your Foreign Birth Registration certificate
7 - You can then apply for an Irish passport
How much DNA do you need for Irish citizenship?
DNA testing or genetic ancestry percentages are not relevant for Irish citizenship claims. The only requirement is documentary evidence of your Irish ancestry through birth certificates and other official documents. Your eligibility is based solely on having qualifying Irish-born ancestors and maintaining the proper chain of registration, not on genetic testing results.
Do I need to speak Irish to claim citizenship?
No, there is no language requirement for claiming Irish citizenship by descent. You don't need to speak either Irish (Gaeilge) or English to qualify.
Can I hold dual citizenship?
Yes, Ireland allows dual citizenship. You can maintain your current citizenship while also holding Irish citizenship. However, you should check if your current country of residence allows dual citizenship.
