We do two things. First, we remove programs you can't legally or financially qualify for. Then we rank the rest by fit and show you why each option scored the way it did.
STEP 1
We check the exact rules for each program. Examples:
Need remote or foreign income and a monthly minimum.
Need pension or passive income (sometimes savings).
Check job offer, occupation, degree, and minimum salary.
Require enough capital and the right instrument (e.g., not a donation if you said "no donations").
If you're close to qualifying, we flag it as Unlockable and explain the one fix after you upgrade.
STEP 2
Every eligible program gets a 0-100 score based on:
Your favorite countries and regions and what you care about (healthcare, safety, taxes, cost of living, English usage, etc.).
How far your income or savings exceed the minimum.
How well the processing time matches your target.
Whether the required days in-country fit your availability.
Whether the route matches how you prefer to invest.
Long-standing programs rank higher for conservative users: newer programs can rank higher for more aggressive users.
We show countries where you already qualify for at least one program. Inside each country you'll see the top program and its score first. Countries with more than one good option get a small bonus so they rise on your list.

Scenario: You work remotely and earn $5,000/month. A DNV you like needs $3,000/month and about 30 days in-country per year.
Result: You pass eligibility. Your score is strong because your income is well above the minimum and the country is one of your favorites. It's slightly reduced because the program's presence days take half of your available time and the start date is a bit earlier than your target.
Scenario: You have $2,200/month from pension + investments. A retirement route needs $2,000/month and 120 days in-country.
Result: You pass eligibility. The score is moderate: you barely clear the income bar and presence takes most of your available time, but it still ranks because the region and your priorities (healthcare, safety) fit well.
If your income dropped to $1,850 and the program allowed a $60,000 savings route, you'd see it in Unlockable with the one fix named.
We never tease programs you don't qualify for.
Your preferences never override legal requirements.
