2. Simplified Application Process: Minimal paperwork is required, and there are no minimum income requirements. You only need to show proof of funds (500,000 THB) and proof of work (an employment contract or a portfolio).
3. Future E-Visa System: Once Thailand completes the rollout of its e-visa system to embassies worldwide by 2025, applications can be submitted online.

The updated DTV allows you to stay in Thailand for up to 180 days per visit, with the visa being valid for five years. You can extend your stay once for a maximum of 180 days, and you also have the option to leave Thailand for one day and immediately restart the clock on your next 180-day period.
